[2021-10-12] Consturction project at the event centre of the 5th round of the Str8 x TerraX Sprint Orienteering Tournament 2021 originally scheduled on Nov 6 at Tsing Yi North is delayed. The event center is not available for the race until further notice. Thus, the race venue will be changed to Shek Wai Kok, Tsuen Wan, while the date and time remain unchanged. Sorry for any inconveniences caused.
About Tournament
Trail orienteering (TrailO) is one of the four orienteering disciplines sanctioned by the International Orienteering Federation. As compared to the more common foot O in Hong Kong, TrailO emphasizes on participants’ map reading skills. Good physical fitness does not contributes directly to the success in TrailO.
During TrailO competition, competitors are only allowed to move along the designated trail. Precise map reading skills, excellent terrain recognition and a clear mind are the keys to success in TrailO.
TerraX is organizing a trail orienteering competition for the first time this year. We aim to promote trail orienteering through the event and welcome all orienteers to join and fight for the champion!

Participants can register by the following ways,
[RECOMMENDED] 1. Purchase a TerraX Race Pass and register with the exclusive link. (After a successful online registration, you will receive a confirmation email. That means your entry is successful.)
2. Register through the online registration system. (After a successful online payment, you will receive a confirmation email. That means your entry is successful.)
3. Online group registration and pay by cheque. Available for 5 competitors or more only. Discount available for 20 entries or more at once. Please contact us via email to acquire Excel entry form and discount details.
No refund shall be made after successful registration. Registration fee paid for duplicated entries will not be refunded. If the event has been cancelled due to inclement weather or Force majeure*, the event will be re-scheduled. If the event is cancelled again on re-scheduled date, the race will not be rescheduled again, and your entry fee will not be refunded.
*Force majeure i.e. due to occurrence of incidents that are beyond the control of the Organizer and which renders it impossible, unsafe or impractical to hold the event. A force majeure event shall include, but is not limited to, government policies, rejection of venue permits, act of God, war, hostilities, invasion, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, riot, commotion, strikes, go-slows, lock outs or disorder, outbreak of disease, acts or threats of terrorism.
Any subsequent amendment after successful registration will result in HK$50 administration fee.
The Tournament will accept registrations after the entry deadline until 3 days before the competition. Organizer will charge a late registration admin fee of HK$20 for each registration.
Remarks
1. Event handbook & start list will be uploaded on website: https://trailO.TerraX.hk 3 days before the event. Participants must check the event information on their own.
2. All participants and accompanying persons are required to purchase a campsite admission ticket (HK$22) through the organizer. For details, please refer to the registration form and related emails.
3. All participants and accompanying parents (except exempted persons*) must comply with the government's vaccine pass requirements for campsites when entering the event center of this Competition.
*Exempted persons include:
1) Children under the age of 12
2) Persons holding a COVID-19 Medical Exemption Certicate
3. Public Liability Insurance is covered by the Organizer. Participants/Parents are advised to apply their necessary insurance.
4. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify any person and / or nullify his or her result due to any violation the official rules of the event. No refund will be accommodated in the case of disqualifications.
5. The Organizer reserves the final right for any amendment, including but not limited to change of competition venues, date, time and race formats. Any changes or contingent measures for the event announced by the organizer and posted on the event’s website shall prevail.
